You’ll ride through the UNESCO-recognized Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, stay overnight in a traditional homestay, and experience genuine local hospitality with traditional food, music, and the famous “happy water” (local corn wine).

Your Ha Giang Loop 2 days 1 night adventure begins with an overnight sleeper bus from Hanoi. Depart in the evening and wake up to the misty mountains of Ha Giang province.

Depart Hanoi

Board the comfortable sleeper bus from Hanoi ( My Dinh or Old Quarter pickup ). Settle into your bed and rest as you travel through the night.

Arrive Ha Giang

Arrive at Hostel/ Homestay in Ha Giang City. Check in, freshen up, enjoy a coffee, and rest before the tour begins.

DAY 1: Ha Giang → Quan Ba → Yen Minh → Dong Van – B/ L/ D

The first day of your Ha Giang Loop 2 days 1 night journey takes you deep into the mountains. Ride through iconic passes, explore the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, visit remote Hmong villages, and end with a memorable homestay experience.

Begin the Journey

Hit the road! Your first major stop is the winding Bac Sum Pass, followed by the famous Heaven Gate ( Quan Ba ) with panoramic views of the Twin Mountains and terraced valleys below.

Traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant. Refuel and prepare for the afternoon’s adventure through the UNESCO Geopark.

Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark

Enter the spectacular geopark. Stop at Tham Ma Pass, navigate the nine bends of Chin Khoanh Pass, and visit Lao Xa Village — an authentic Hmong community near the Chinese border.

Arrive Dong Van

Check into your homestay in Dong Van. Relax, explore the ancient town, or simply enjoy the mountain atmosphere.

Evening

Homestay Dinner & Local Experience

Gather for a traditional dinner with your group. Experience local games, traditional music, and taste the famous “happy water” ( thắng cố and corn wine ). A night you won’t forget!

DAY 2: Dong Van → Ma Pi Leng → Meo Vac → Ha Giang – B/ L

Day 2 of your Ha Giang Loop 2 days 1 night tour features the highlight of the entire region — the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass. Conquer one of Vietnam’s Four Great Passes, marvel at the turquoise Nho Que River far below, and ride back through stunning landscapes to Ha Giang.

Ma Pi Leng Pass

The moment you’ve been waiting for. Ride through Ma Pi Leng — one of Vietnam’s Four Great Passes and the crown jewel of the Ha Giang Loop. Stop at viewpoints overlooking the dramatic cliffs and the emerald Nho Que River 800 meters below.

Meo Vac Town

Descend into the charming mountain town of Meo Vac. Quick photo stop and a glimpse of local market life in this remote region.

Lunch at Sung Trai

Lunch with stunning valley views. After eating, continue riding through the dramatic M Pass — another highlight with incredible switchbacks.

Journey Back via Yen Minh

Ride back through Yen Minh, enjoying different perspectives of the landscapes you passed on Day 1.

Heaven Gate ( Afternoon Visit )

Stop once more at Heaven Gate. The afternoon light offers a completely different atmosphere — perfect for those final Ha Giang Loop photos.

Return to Ha Giang

Arrive back at Hotel/ Homestay. Freshen up and prepare for your onward journey. Perfect timing for the evening sleeper bus to Hanoi.

+ Driving by yourself – Only for customers with an international motorbike driving license.

+ Trip by Bigger Motorbike 150cc plus extra pay 20$/motorbike/Day.

+ Single Room Supplement:

$15/night for a 2-star hotel or homestay.

$25/night for a 3-star hotel or homestay.

Ticket booking and cancellation policy:

✅  The bookings please deposit your advance payment of 30% and 100% tour before departure by bank transfer or cash payment.

✅  Children Policy:

• Children: Under 3 years old sleep, ride with parents for free.
• Children 4 – 6 years old charge 50% adult price.
• Children 7 – 9 years old charge 75% adult price.
• Children 10 years and older are charged as adults.

✅  When you want to cancel a ticket, please inform 02 days in advance before departure you will receive your payment back. If you cancel the tour later, please inform the company and please take a 30% fee.
